Turlutte Acadienne Montréalaise

This piece uses an original melody hailing from the traditional Acadian and Québecois musical practice of the “turlutte,” or mouth-reel.  The singers get to explore different sounds which immatate a mouth-reel, all while performing with exceptional artistry.

Spes (Hope)

Mia Makaroff

Tihs piece by living composer Mia Markaroff is a beautiful mix of Latin and Sami languages, using traditional Catholic texts with the composers own words to explore the concepts of forgiveness, and hope.

The Nearness of You

& Hoagy Carmichael
Arranger: Kirby Shaw

This classic jazz standard was arranged for acapella SSAA voices, features tightly woven and lushish jazz harmonies.

Les Roses D'Ispahan

Composer: Gabriel Fauré
Poetry: Leconte de Lisle

This excellent example of a late-Romantic era art song includes loosely tonal yet none-the-less melodic phrases, with intricate harmonies and beautiful imagery.
